The (very inspiring) book about the Roshi resting near my desk prompts me to let you know that even though my paltry practice is difficult for me sometimes to drag myself over for, inevitably I am blind sided, even after a sitting that seems just as bland as chewing on cardboard for twenty five minutes (maybe I should try that...) by the gratefulness that continues to come over me, often in the form of a spontaneous laughter, indescribable really.
