The
The Zen practiced at the Williamsburg Zen Center is inspired by the teachings of Denkyo Kyozan Joshu Roshi. Born in 1907, Joshu Roshi became a monk at the age of 14 in the Myoshin-ji school of Rinzai Zen. He came to the United States in 1962 and although he has past the 100 year mark, continues to actively teaching to this day.
