Zen Buddhist practice in the Rinzai tradition
with Tokuju Genshu Chris Ro, Osho

Genshu is a certified disciple of Denkyo Kyozan Joshu, Roshi. He trained continuously from 1987 - 2002 at Bodhi Manda Zen Center in New Mexico and Mt. Baldy Zen Center in California. He was ordained in 1988 and became an Osho (Zen teacher) in 2001.

He graduated from Bennington College with a B.A. in visual art in 1986.

The Williamburg Zen Center was founded in March 2002. Genshu is presently studying family practice with wife Maureen Ellenhorn-Ro and sons Genyu Jasper Ro & Genpo Stellan-Jerome Ro. He is working in the construction field.

The Diamond Sutra is the official sutra of this temple.

Genshu is available to give lectures as well as perform Buddhist weddings and memorial services. He is also available for renovations or for hire as a carpenter.
